I don’t really do social media these days.
I use the fantastic Storygraph to track my reading. It is an independently owned tracker that is much easier on the eye that isn't the Other Place and isn't owned by mega-billionaires 🙅🏻♀️.
It's free to use or, like me, you can pay a small amount and use the Pro version. which gives awesome data. Storygraph was started by Nadia Odunayo, a black British woman-preneur, who started it as a side project, then learned to code and has built a fantastic alternative to the the Other Place.
Please note: I no longer utilise my Facebook accounts so they will not be updated. This is because I have deep ethical and moral objection to cosying up to wealthy American billionaires cosying up to the current US Administration. I don't want to lose my long histories on those platforms, but I won't be contributing to them with money or content under the current conditions.
I do still have Instagram for my book reviews but that’s it. And it took me a long time to even do that, given they’re part of Meta.
I have not had a Twitter (X) account for several years and the guy that owns that is a whole next level of the above. Absolutely no way.
I know many don’t share my thoughts on those platforms and people and that’s their prerogative. This is my corner of the internet and if you are unable to respect my choice, this may not be the space for you.
