Yankee time

When I was in New York last October, I fulfilled a lifelong dream - to see a live game at Yankee Stadium. I am a HUGE Yankee fan and had previously taken the tour of the stadium, but being AT the game was beyond anything I'd imagined.

Earlier that day I bought my first Moleskine Watercolour Journal, so it was only fitting that the first two entries into that journal were Yankee related - drawn AT the stadium while I waited for it to fill up and the game started (I got there SUPER early so I could absorb the growing atmosphere). It was a ALCS play-off game against the Texas Rangers (formerly owned by President Bush) and the only game we won at Yankee Stadium in this series (we lost the series).

me at Yankee Stadium - the grin says everything, right? So onto the sketches.....

Pen, watercolourMy Zentangle ode to Derek Jeter...... I *heart* Derek Jeter.

Pen, watercolourThe view of the stadium from my seat - top deck behind first base. Oh, and the logo :)

OK I have indulged enough - when I get a new CF card reader, I have photos I'm excited to share of the gardens at Rupertswood Mansion.
